While used as guidelines, the Ministry of Attorney General’s office insists that this top-secret meeting agenda was not followed….and of course, we believe them!! It was faxed to the office of the BC Attorney General on June 15th, 1993. The AG’s office took the agenda, and created a set of notes based on it. It certainly does present a “wish list” on the part of the BC Coalition for Abortion Clinics, and we note with dismay that most of the items requested or presented had, as of 1998, been cheerfully provided by the same NDP government.
For example, the Attorney General launched a special “Criminal Harassment Unit” on November 18, 1994 (it completely exonerated the pro-life movement). As well, a “Bubble Zone” was also established by the government, banning all protests at abortion clinics and doctor’s homes and offices. Clearly, and without a doubt the above agenda was followed – and implemented by staff of both the Ministry of Attorney General and the Ministry of Health.
Did we mention the little item, Number 6 to be exact? Oh, sorry….“Freedom of Information“.
Hmmm…we wonder what that was about?
