In the spirit of democracy and accountability, we are releasing our response to the nice law firm employed with your tax dollars by Vancouver General Hospital, and since the argument was strangely similar, probably by Kelowna General as well.
It seems that both abortion hospitals do not fully understand the concept of “Public Interest”, nor do they seem to care.
We’ve put together our thoughts about the whole thing….and, even though all of this is usually not made public, a little information might go a long way at shoring up the democracy experiment that we’ve been part of.
The taxpayer paid legal firm and advisers hired by the abortion hospitals have been invited to make their counter submissions, which we will happily also post here.
A response, by someone in the Information & Privacy Office is due on May 13th. Then and only then will they decide if we can even argue that it is in the public interest that abortion information, no, ANY topic, is not allowed to be censored in a free and democratic society.
